About Toto
The band Toto was formed in the year 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also well-known studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs at the time) as well as bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. Their name is derived from the Latin word meaning "all inclusive," the group was intent on exploring every style of music.
In 1981, Toto's third album Turn Back was a complete failure However, they resurface with their fourth album Isolation with two hits, including the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour made them a household name throughout the globe.

The band releases Mindfields in 1999, and then embarks on a huge tour around the world. After a few weeks in Europe the band travels to Japan for sold-out shows. After a short break, Toto resumes recording and begins recording their first live album titled Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes the cover of Weezer's track Hash Pipe in response to the band's cover of their hit Africa during their recent tour. Toto's touring lineup includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest along with keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.
